AI & Antitrust

Competition Policy International (CPI) published a topical issue on the overlay between AI & antitrust.

In our contribution to this issue, we discuss the main features of the AI Act and its relationship with competition law, focusing on the new regulators under the AI Act and their obligations in relation to competition law, and outline the risks of anticompetitive behavior by using AI. Against that background, we discuss some aspects relating to the use of AI in the light of the cartel prohibition and the prohibition of abuse of dominant position.

The full article was published in the July 2024 issue of the CPI Antitrust Chronicle. You can read it here.
